A-Z Challenge Reflection Post

So we’re supposed to do a reflection post?

Let’s see. What have I learnt from this year’s A-Z challenge?

  • It’s harder writing about bunnies than one thinks. (My especial thanks to Anna, for commenting so often; and to Mum for constantly telling me she likes the poems and is looking forward to them;  and to Day, for helping me with the last week’s worth of poems, when I was so often devoid of ideas.)
  • It’s even harder to keep churning out poems – poems that rhyme – almost every day.
  • Poem-bunnies can do more than just pop out of a hat. Among other things, they can wear hats, live on the Moon, go to the market, fly to Mars to catch stars, talk to dolls and ducks and fish, drive sports cars, write stories, and dance with fairies at waterfalls.
  • (I actually like to think that it’s the same bunny in all the poems, except in the D poem… that one’s a different bunny. Maybe it’s related to the other bunny, though?)
  • Poem-bunnies also eat a lot. Or at least think about food a lot. (Really. Here’s a list of all the food that has appeared in no less than 16 out of the 26 poems: Apples, carrots, carrot-cream bun, Moon-pie, star juice, Moon-rice, chocolate eggs, honey, cakes, wine, croissant, grass, lemon sorbet, chocolates, parfait, peas, tea, lychee, strawberries, melons, pears, blue cheese, carrot cake, potato chips and gravy, chocolate biscuit, chocolate milk, green tea, toast with butter and honey, tarts, berries, plums, and banana split.)
